In January we kicked off our first MoMoPDX event at BackSpace in Portland. There was a crowd of folks from all walks of the mobile industry: mobile payments, WiFi, infrastructure, mobile video, and cell phones. Many people in the local mobile industry have expressed to us that they felt like “a fish out of water” believing their mobile company was one of maybe a handful of mobile companies in the Portland metro area. But as MoMoPDX is showing, there is a rather extensive mobile community right here in the Portland / Vancouver metro area.

Thanks to one such company, MapWith.Us of Vancouver, Washington, we are able to show you just how many companies there are. At the time of this post, we’ve listed only 14 of the companies about which we know, but keep checking back as we’ll be adding more.
